Chris Hughes is a motivated producer and audio engineer located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since his uncle gave him his first electric guitar as a child, Chris’ passion has been firmly rooted in music and performance. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sound Arts from Ex’pression College for Digital Arts after moving to the Bay Area from Santa Barbara where he was studying music theory. He has interned at the legendary Santa Barbara Sound Design and Different Fur Studios in San Francisco. Since his love of the recording arts was ignited in early 2010 he has been a freelance engineer ever since with dozens of releases to his credit. From doom metal to living room folk, Chris prides himself on being able to successfully work in almost any genre. He is equally at home recording in the most sophisticated of recording studios as he is doing remote recordings in a bands’ practice space. Chris’ motto is, and always will be, to serve the music.
