ADAM Audio and Walters-Storyk-Design-Group (WSDG) recently hosted a workshop about room acoustics

The workshop hosted by ADAM Audio and the Walters-Storyk-Desig-Group (WSDG) at the Funkhaus Studio Berlin was, amongst other things, about how to improve room acoustics. Beforehand, the attendees had the chance to participate in an ADAM Audio factory tour.

In the beginning, Dirk Noy, M.Sc. Physics and head of the European Office of the renowned acoustic design company WSDG began with his presentation. He outlined the practical basics of acoustics in general, as well as room acoustics in particular. Further, he referred to the interaction between (studio) room and speaker.

The workshop was topped off with a number of case studies, including The Church Studios (London) or VSL Synchron Stage (Vienna) and many more. Dirk Noy also revealed helpful hints and tricks about studio building. Apart from knowledge transfer, there was enough time for questions and discussions.
